Pmod Type to Activate in Viewport
All pmodifiers are executed all the time when you activate passes for render. No exception. But, for viewport, you can choose what kinds of pmodifier will be executed when you activate a pass using Pmod Type to Activate in Viewport button right below treeview. If you have a really big scene with a lot of objects, then turning off some of heavy pmodifier such as Visibility, Transform or Material could make switching pass a lot faster. Or, you really want to save 0.01 second, you can turn of pmodfiers that doesn’t show result the viewport like RenderElement or Atmospherics.
By default, all pmodifiers are set to be executed. So, you can see the blue “All” button.
- Click this button to open pmodifier selection dialog.
- Choose the pmodifier type to apply in viewport from the left “Available” list. You can always use Search bar at the bottom.
- Press “<” button to move the selected pmodifier type to “Selected”
- Choose “Indlude/Exclude” option to decide if you want to only execute the selected modifier or other than selected podifers,
- Press “Set” button.
If you have selected “Include”, only Selected pmodifiers will be executed when you activate a pass. The button will be Blue and the abbreviation of pmodifier type name will be displayed.
If you have selected “Exclude”, all other pmodifers other than Selected pmodifiers will be executed when you activate a pass. The button will be Black and the abbreviation of pmodifier type name will be displayed.
If nothing is selected and “Exclude” is chosen, all pmodifiers will be executed and you will see blue “All” button.
If nothing is selected and “Include” is chosen, no pmodifiers will be executed and you will see black “Edit mode” button.
Emergency Off mode
It is very very very very rare. But, somehow xml data could be broken. If that happens. you can not open renderSracks or select pmod or pass to fix. For the situation. renderSTacks has the orange, Emergency Off, button.
If you turn on this button, the Pmod Type to Activate in Viewport button will be changed to orange color, and any pass activation and Parameter panel UI update will be blocked so you can at least remove the bad pmodifier or pass.
